We were established in 2021 by a self-funded team from edge computing, applied AI, consulting and academia. We started with a simple conviction: AI on its own often falls short in the messy, high-stakes realities of industry, because real value requires judgment, context and accountability.
At that time, AI was already making its way into critical operations: computer vision on production lines, predictive maintenance models in utilities, natural language processing in service workflows. But we kept seeing the same gap:
- Models that looked impressive in the lab, but struggled in the field
- Decisions being made too far from where the data was generated
- Automation that removed the human element when it was needed most
We believed the next wave of industrial transformation would happen at the edge – where data meets action; and that the winners would combine human expertise with AI speed to make decisions that were faster, safer, and more resilient.
From real world constraints to real world outcomes - human judgment amplified by AI.
The idea was born in an unusual but fitting setting: a group of us, all avid motorcyclists, meeting after long rides. Between talk of routes and engines, we compared notes from our jobs and saw the same problem across industries. AI was powerful, but it wasn’t designed to respect the operational realities, and judgment calls of frontline teams.
On those rides, we committed to building something different:
- AI deployed where the action happens – at the edge of the enterprise
- Human-in-the-loop design for critical decisions
- Measured not by demos or PoCs, but by real-world outcomes for customers and workers alike
